JESUS AND THE LAW OF LOVE Love runs the Universe. Love is a part of the Law, the Spiritual Law that runs the universe; the creation.* Love is the River of Life.* Love and Life are inseparable. Imagine the world without love! We cannot exist without love! Love is a divine attribute of God. It originated simultaneously as a known attribute of God's presence during the act of creation; therefore, Truth says, Divine Love always is, always has been, and always will be.* The term love can be used as noun to describe a deep, tender, ineffable feeling of affection and caring toward another person, including a sense of underlying oneness. Love as a verb becomes loving, an action. When we act with love towards another we are allowing love to flow through us. Choosing to love is choosing to act compassionately and with loving kindness toward others. Jesus taught the Law of Love. He taught the Law of Love because he knew that underlying all that is, is love, and only by our learning to be and express love will we and the world become whole, complete. It is only when we love that we truly express who we truly are. In John 13:34-35, Jesus gave us a commandment to act lovingly towards one another. Jesus as a spiritual teacher said, 34 A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 35 By this shall all know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. What is a commandment? The dictionary defines it as an edict or a decree; as a proclamation issued by an authority having the force of law. In order to truly love one another, we must open the door of love within ourselves and allow it to flow from us to others, just as Jesus did and just as Buddha did; just as all great spiritual teachers have done. Love exists always, but it is a choice to love. When we choose to love, we choose life. Jesus asked his disciples to choose to choose life by being loving; if we keep Jesus' commandments, we love, and then we are truly his disciples. Following the issue of his commandment, Jesus told us he would help us. He said in John 14:14, "If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. " When we are having difficulty being loving, we may call upon Jesus' presence at any time. When we sincerely call and then are quiet, we can feel his loving presence around us, especially in prayer. When we call out his name, whether vocally or silently, and we feel him, what is happening? We are evoking his loving presence; we are calling forth love. Jesus presence is a wonderful loving Spirit that falls around us, that covers us, that we feel in our very hearts and souls. Jesus lived a holy life; a loving life. Because he lived a holy life, his name and the vibration of his name became holy; therefore when we utter it, we come into contact with holiness; we call forth holiness. The very name of Jesus is Holy. What is holy calls forth love; Jesus' name is holy, therefore, the very name of Jesus calls forth love.

St. Paul when he spoke about God, said , "For in him we live and move and have our being." God is all encompassing and all loving. Jesus became one with God; so, when we contact Jesus, we also contact God. The very essence of Jesus permeates the space in which we live. We may contact him at any time. Jesus is closer than hands and feet. Jesus gave definition to the Love aspect of God in the creation. This is really what is meant in spiritual metaphysics when we say that Jesus became Christed; he became a son of God. We may all become sons of God. Jesus became enlightened and his message was of love and compassion. When we call upon Jesus we call upon him as a meditator of divine attributes; we may call upon him to help us manifest love and compassion. Through the Heart we may come to know the Love of God; through the Heart we may become the Love of God. And so Jesus said, "Love Ye One Another." THE LAW OF LOVE Love is a part of the Law, the Law that runs the Universe. Love is a divine attribute, having its origin in the act of creation. The creation must automatically manifest it, since the creation is nothing more than the materialized substance of the Creator. Therefore Truth says divine Love always is, always has, and divine Love always will supply our every need. Love is functional in the Law. It is the generator by which Law works -- as we have said, the source of Power.

THE POWER OF LOVE Love is the greatest of all powers and though of itself, it has no power, it is powerful. Love comes forth from the Source of All Life.* A source is a point at which something springs into being. A source causes, creates, or initiates. A source is a point where energy or mass comes forth and is added to the system. Like a river, love comes forth from its source as a small trickle that then becomes a stream that is then added to other streams until, as it falls from the heights, it becomes a Great River of Love that spreads across the world eventually mixing and merging with all of the waters. A source is a point of origin. Love as a power flows into the universe from its source, through each of us. Through each one of us, love is added to the Great River of Love. Love flows like a river from its source into the world and as a great power, love blesses everyone and so the world is changed. Power is a force exerted. Love is a power only when expressed. The power of love is potentially transformative and when expressed is kinetic; transformation occurs because of love's movement; through the power of love, the universe is both effected and perfected.

Love is infinitely available and infinitely created. Love flows from the Spirit of God when we access the pure desire to love. We may connect to the Source of Love and feel its power. Love emanates from the Source as a gentle force that when expressed causes a response. All things vibrate to the Power of Love. Love permeates all, unobtrusively. Things do not love. Only we can love. Love is a movement of nurturing energy, unseen, but felt and known. Love is uplifting and inspiring; love is healing; love is caring and concerned for the wellbeing of others. Love is gentle. Love is kind. Love brings peace and joy. "Love creates a vacuum that necessitates a reaction.... "Nature abhors a vacuum... Nature does not repel Love .... Nature says that if we Love, we must be loved." * A vacuum is a state of emptiness; when we are empty, we are empty of personal desire and personal ego and love can flow through us; when we are empty, we become channels of grace to others. The Creator naturally loves. Love is the creative force. Love nurtures. In our natural state we love. In our natural state, love comes forth in abundance. God is love. God is the eternal source of love. Love is powerful. Through the Heart we may come to know the Love of God; through the Heart we may become the Love of God. "LOVE is a source of power, though it of itself has no power. Love is the reciprocal action of give and take. Love creates a vacuum that necessitates reaction. Remember, Nature abhors a vacuum, but Nature does not repel love. Nature merely says that if we love — we must be loved. The Creator naturally loves his creation, and this love keeps the creation satisfied, in all of its many facets of Life." LOVE AND CHARITY KJV 1 Corinthians 13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. 4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, 5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; 7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. 8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. 9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. 11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. 13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity. "Through the Heart we may come to know the Love of God; through the Heart we may become the Love of God." LOVE AND THE UNIVERSE "Love is part of the Law — the Law that runs the Universe."* If there were no Love the Universe would cease to exist. "Love is a divine attribute having its origin in the act of creation."* Love was created when the universe was created. "The creation must automatically manifest substance, the creation is the materialized substance of the Creator."* Love is infinite. The creation is infinite. "Therefore, Truth says divine Love always is, always has, and always will supply our every need."* What do we need? "Love is functional in the Law. It is the generator by which the Law works — love is the source of power."* LOVE IS THE RIVER OF LIFE "Love is the River of Life that flows from the throne of God."* KJV Revelation 22:1-17 1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: 4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. 5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever. 6 And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.

7 Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book. 8 And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things. 9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God. 10 And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand. 11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. 12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. 13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. 14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.... 17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. "Without Love, we cannot see God. We reach God through our acts of Love. The Creator, as the Creator functions through Love."* Through the Heart we may come to know the Love of God; through the Heart we may become the Love of God. Love is also the River of Life that flows from the throne of God. Without Love, we cannot see God, for we have to reach to God, the act of Love, to see The Creator, as the Creator functions through love action.
