Analysis & Design of Information Systems Requirement Analysis- 2 Version 1.0 We were talking about the techniques of data gathering or fact finding. This week, we will conclude on this topic. 5. We can observe and document business processes as well. We will play with some activity diagrams with this topic (you will like it ). 6. To acquire knowledge about the system we need to develop, we may build a preliminary prototype as well. This is different than the prototype we heard in the lecture of SDLC for the first time. So, be warned! Don’t mix them up. 7. We will take a look at the format of the questions as well as the things we need to keep in head while we are preparing questions for them. 8. A very interesting topic on Joint Application Design (JAD) will be covered in this lecture as well. JAD is nothing but many things . Actually every one of you can assume while I will tell you about JAD- oh, I know that… but the thing is, you are a systems analyst now! So, you will have to know the ins and outs of it and dig more into it. No? 9. We will see how a simple yet powerful method of vendor solutions can be helpful in the requirement analysis phase! That’s it systems analyst! You have covered most of the aspects of the requirement analysis phase! Believe it or not! You know the one of the most crucial phases of SDLC a lot at the moment! Reading Materials: 1. 13 common objections against user requirement analysis.htm: A very handy article. This should purify your approach of requirement analysis 2. Business Analysis FAQ.htm: FAQs are always easy to understand but important articles! So, take a look into the article. You need to go through it!
