Join the DoD Patient Safety Program's Learning Action Network (LAN) webinar entitled "Patient Satisfaction: Are your patients part of the team? on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 from 1000 - 1100 EST. Learn how: • Make your place better for patients, keep them safe, and exceed their expectations. • How to move from data collection and measurement to action! • How to create a patient-centered culture by engaging staff. Speakers: Robert Wolosin, PHD is a senior researcher at Press Ganey Associates. Dr. Wolosin did his undergraduate work at the University of Chicago and took his doctorate in Social Psychology at the University of Michigan. Dr. Wolosin has worked for 21 years in a Family Practice Residency Program as Director of Behavioral Science. He teaches an undergraduate Medical Anthropology course at a local university, and has presented at national and international conferences including the American College of Physician Executives, the International Society for Quality in Health Care, the European Association for Healthcare Education, and Educational Conferences of the National Association for Healthcare Quality Gary A. Brown, MHA is a solutions consultant with Press Ganey Associates who specializes in quality improvement solutions in healthcare organizations. He has previously done extensive work with the Baptist Health System in San Antonio. He has worked on various strategic initiatives such as patient satisfaction, physician and employee engagement, operational efficiency, business development, and ER throughput. Gary Brown attended Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois where he earned a Bachelor's in molecular genetics. He also holds a Masters in Healthcare Administration from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. Before you attempt to log on, first reference the attached DCO Quick Guide and follow the instructions on the right column to ensure you have the correct DoD certificates installed on your computer. Failure to do so may result in a connectivity problem. You must first register for an account to login to the session and then simply enter the virtual meeting room as a guest by inserting your name in the appropriate field when prompted.
