Kurnool is located in the Andhra Pradesh state of India. It has been in the news for 2 reasons in the recent past. Firstly, it is the district where Chief Minister of state Dr Y S R Reddy lost his life in a chopper accident. Secondly, it is the worst hit area in the floods that caused a havoc. More than 70% of Kurnool town was affected because of floods.Personal property loss is estimated to be more than Rs. 3000 Crores. We are presenting the photographs of situation here, after 10 DAYS of the calamity. You can see tonnes & tonnes of garbage and mud on the streets . It’s a pity that People are forced to live along with it. Another 20 – 25 days are required to clear the garbage & mud, and to start full fledged rehabilitation operations. Imagine, a person who has lost EVERYTHING in the floods, He has a hungry family beside him and left with just the clothes they are wearing & needs to rebuilt everything from the scratch. There are around 2,00,000 people struggling to manage every single day. THEY NEED OUR SUPPORT.
