T ORSO A DJUSTABLE H ARNESS Every Kestrel pack features two torso adjustable sizes providing exceptional fit and adjustability. To adjust torso sizing: A Loosen load lifter straps at top of harness, B locate arrow icon and slide a hand between backpanel and harness to separate the hook and loop closure, C slide harness into position using arrows as a guide, D press firmly to re-engage closure.

A DJUSTABLE S TERNUM S TRAP All Kestrel packs offer three-position sternum strap adjustability. To adjust, rotate oval sternum buckle A into horizontal position and push through opening. Reverse to insert into desired opening and return tab to vertical position. Repeat on opposing strap.

H IPBELT W EBBING S TRAP R ETENTION All Kestrel hipbelts have a sewn-on elastic strap near the buckle which is a strap keeper system for excess hipbelt webbing. Fold and tuck extra webbing through the loop as needed.

This reverse strap system A serves a dual purpose allowing you to compress loads for a better, more balanced carry while providing retention straps for versatile side carry options. Compression can be engaged across the front of the pack using opposing female buckles to compress partial loads and secure unusual items such as snowshoes etc.

E XTERNAL H YDRATION C OMPARTMENT Located between the harness and main body on the backpanel is an exterior access hydration compartment. A Locate the H2O icon and loosen load lifter straps. B Place reservoir in the compartment using sewn-in hanger to hold upright. C Route the hose through the elastic routers on the left or right harness as preferred.

All Kestrel packs feature hipbelt pockets with articulated, zippered openings for easy one-hand usage and convenient storage of needed items.

Every Osprey Kestrel pack comes with an integrated, removable raincover. To operate, A locate raincover icon near the base of the pack and unzip raincover compartment, pull raincover from compartment and slip over top and bottom of pack; B tension into place using the cord lock at the bottom of the raincover. Reverse this process to return raincover to compartment. Note: To remove the raincover, entirely undo the webbing which attaches to the cord loop.

Working in conjunction with dual ice ax loops, these pass-through style bungee cords can be slid into any of four positions and secured using a hook and loop system. The clove-hitch style bungee allows you to loop handles or poles quickly, a cord lock tightens or loosens the loop.

STOW ON THE GO ATTACHMENT SYSTEM

Your Osprey Kestrel Series pack comes with a Stow On The Go™ trekking pole attachment system designed to conveniently stow your poles when not in use. To operate: shorten trekking poles to a safe, manageable size, A locate the elasticized cord loop spanning the side pocket on the left side of pack then pull loop away from the side pocket and insert the basket end of your poles. B On the left harness strap locate the trekking pole icon, C engage the cord lock beneath the hypalon patch with your thumb and forefinger and pull up on the cord to open, place pole handles in the loop and tighten with the cord lock to secure. Reverse to remove.
