8 June 2009 Dear JCL Sponsors and Members, While summer is quickly approaching and, as students and teachers alike gaze into what will soon be breezy July days, Sage Hill School is proud to announce the honor of hosting SCRAM 2009. CJCL’s annual Southern California Regional Amici Madness will be held this year on October 24, 2009, serving as a passageway not only into the celebration of the classics, but also into a day of fun. Euge! Delegates at this moment have the option to begin thinking about our pre-convention art contests, similar to those offered at state (See attached flyer for more information). We are excited to begin planning catapult and gladiator tournaments, revamp Battle of the Bands and Mr. and Mrs. Rome, while also considering other unique yet exciting events that could only ever happen at a SCRAM. Ping- pong tournaments and In-N-Out are expected to make a return, as well as contests between pre-made chariots (We encourage you to make your own over the summer!). Over the summer, please check out www.cajcl.org, the state JCL site, for any links to our website for SCRAM. We are planning to post a video advertising the convention and also documents by July 31, 2009. SCRAM will be unbelievable this year, so keep a heads up for our registration packets in August, tell your friends, and remember to have a happy summer!
