PLEASE NOTE SUMMER OFFICE HOURS:

Rib Tickler: A young priest, fresh out of seminary, thought it would help him better understand the fears and temptations his future congregations faced if he first took a job as a policeman for several months. He passed the physical examination; then came the oral exam to test his ability to act quickly and wisely in an emergency. Among other questions he was asked, “What would you do to disperse a frenzied crowd?” He thought for a moment and then responded cheerfully: “I would take up a collection.”

SISTERS OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION:

Thank you for your gift of $400, received in March. We are very grateful. It has been forwarded to our missions in the Dominican Republic to purchase medicine for those in need. In the Dominican Republic we have two Health Centres. One is in the sugar cane area where the cane cutters live in isolated settlements in the midst of the sugar cane. The other is in a hilly country area. From both centres, the medical staff extend their work by weekly visits. Medicines are available in the Dominican Republic – but at a cost. Your donation will mean that many more people can be attended. God Bless you.
