Dr Jaiprakash
He is a professor in Pharmacy with for over 27 years experience in teaching and research. He entered the field of Alternative medicine and Yoga in 1989 during his research thesis for Ph.D at Central council for research in Ayurveda and Siddha, NewDelhi. After his doctoral degree he conceived the importance of holistic health concept and in 1995 initiated the first health resort project integrating traditional medical systems with nature cure and Yoga. He has worked under several masters in traditional siddha medicine, Yoga and spirituality. As a Research Director he has initiated several integrated research projects with multi-disciplinary participation from different faculties. In the field of Biotechnology extensive research has been carried out to emphasize the importance of bio-energy studies in evaluation and treatment of health disorders in individuals. He was heading the Post-graduate Department of Pharmaceutical biotechnology at K.L.E.S College of Pharmacy, Belgaum. Diagnostic methods for evaluating Bio- energy blocks in the physical body and mind have been developed. He has experienced the Siddha Guru-Kula programs to explore the mysteries of nature’s healing powers and spiritual significance of Vasi yoga, Meditation and Ashtanga Yoga of Patanjali Yogasutras. Academics & Research: From 1991, guided several Postgraduate and Ph.D students in Pharmacy, Biotechnology, MD students in Ayurveda and Sidhha and M.Phil and Ph.D students in Applied Botany for their research thesis and dissertation. Along with different Siddha masters participated in the translation of Palm-leaf manuscripts of Siddha literature and their scientific evaluation to record the presence of some exclusive formulations and medicines for chronic diseases including Cancer. Programs as Resource personnel: 1. Since 2001 delivered Guest lectures and Seminars as Resource person in AICTE sponsored QUALITY IMPROVEMENT PROGRAMS for Pharmacy Teachers. 2. Guest Lectures in Holistic health and Yoga at CME(continuing medical education) programs for Medical faculty at J.N.Medical College, Belgaum. 3. Research projects and orientation lectures in Traditional medicine at Ayurvedic colleges and conferences. 4.Created integrated research centers for Traditional medicine and Biosciences at Vivekanandha group of institutions and K.L.E.S Group of institutions. 5. Guest lectures in different institutions on the emerging frontiers in Biotechnology and Bio-energy studies in healthcare. Programs & Discourses: Most of the programs were designed with Yogic insights from Spirituality for self-development and stress management. Also charitable activities were taken up for Old age homes, Ashrams and needy chronic patients.
