Dear Joe: I am an authorized Fargo technician with Actcom Security Solutions. Mr. Boyd received a Fargo Pro-L printer from you (FedEx tracking # 245294210012293) on December 27, 2006. Upon the arrival of this printer, Mr. Boyd contacted Actcom Security Solutions and stated that it was inoperable. We scheduled an appointment to diagnose the machine. Several problems were identified. The internal print mechanisms of the machine were very dirty, which was an obvious indication that this printer was not new or in “like new” condition. CR-80 cards were also lodged beneath the print track causing the machine to not function properly. The machine was cleaned and the cards were removed. At this point, we ran a print quality check and a history check. The result of the print quality test showed that the print head was failing and the print color was marginally off. The print history test indicated that the machine had produced approximately 4,900 cards. Given the condition of this machine, I estimate the value to be $100.00 USD.
