Jesus Never Maintained that He was God By Mario A Olcese Jesus Christ is not God, but the Son of God. He never said he was God but the Son of God, and His messenger. Jesus Christ was sent by God as it was John the Baptist to teach mankind how to Love and serve God. When we truly love God we will serve and honor Him as our Father and sustainer. Christ taught us to Love and to serve God, His Father, over all things and in every moment of our lives. Jesus never said that he was the True God. ¿Please show me a verse in the word of God were Jesus said he was God as His Father is? I’m sure that you will not find any single verse in the New Testament, not even in the whole Bible. It is true that Jesus is called “god” in several passages in the Bible, but this word “god” means something different of what the Trinitarians use to sustain. We see, for example, that Moses was “god to pharaoh” (Exodus 7:1), but Moses wasn’t in fact the only true God, the Father of all (John 17:1). Also we know that the judges of Israel were called “gods” (John 10:34), and even the angels of God were Elohim (gods). On the other hand we know that Jesus was crucified because the Pharisees demanded that Rome crucify Him, and the reason is because they claimed He was a blasphemer. They believe this for one reason, because they thought that He was claiming to be God. John 10:28-33 NIV says: “I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. 29My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all [d]; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. 30I and the Father are one.31Again the Jews picked up stones to stone him, 32but Jesus said to them, "I have shown you many great miracles from the Father. For which of these do you stone me?" 33"We are not stoning you for any of these," replied the Jews, "but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God." It is clear for me that in the Jews mind Jesus was claiming to be God as His Father, but they were wrong. In verse 34 Jesus quoted Psalms 82:6 to show them that the judges of Israel were also called “gods” and nobody protested or lifted a stone to throw it to any of the judges of God. They really were hypocrites and not reasonable and fair. ……………………………..
