Webber, Jane born Feb. 28, 1938 in Brenham, Texas, passed away August 12, 2008 in Dallas, Texas. Mrs. Webber was a literature, language and speech teacher in the junior high school level in Denver, Colorado, before moving to Dallas in 1962 to become a flight attendant for Braniff Airlines. She later became a certified alphabetic phonics instructor at Scottish Rite and a tutor for individual students, as well as an instructor at Richland College for 10 years in the academic reentry program for head injured students, teaching reading and writing. Mrs. Webber especially enjoyed being a den mother for the cub scouts. Preceded in death by her parents, Sam Lee and Hazel Hazlewood. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and a devoted daughter. Survived by her husband, Fred Webber; son, Scott Webber and wife Susanna; daughter, Elizabeth Cummings and husband, Jeff; grandsons, Lex Webber and Jackson Cummings. A memorial service will be held 1:00 P.M., Saturday, August 16, 2008 at Chapel East of Hillcrest Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Lung Association.
