To: NCAA Eligibility Center From: Joan Mosely, Assistant Principal, HS Supervision Re: Jamaal Holder Date: December 9, 2009 ______________________________________________________________________ This memo serves to clarify the term “dual enrollment.” Dual enrollment courses are courses which are taken at the City University of New York at Brooklyn College and college credit is awarded for those courses. Simultaneously, these courses satisfy the high school requirement established by the New York State Department of Education and the New York City Department of Education which allows the student to earn high school credit for the course also. Therefore, a student earns dual credit for the course (i.e. college credit and high school credit). This memo also serves to provide the course description for Classics, a Brooklyn College course currently taught by Professor Joanna Luhrs. *Course Name: Classics 0.11 Vocabulary Building:The Greek and Latin Element in English 3 hours; 3 credits Intensive study of word derivation through systematic analysis of Latin and Greek elements in English.
