The Congress will be held in the vibrant city of Mumbai, which has always been in the forefront of academics in India. In recent years, strategic advances in Assisted Reproductive Technology, Imaging Sciences, Operative Endoscopy and Pharmacological Therapies have made significant progress in the management of the infertile couple. What was thought to be untreatable is now routinely investigated and successfully treated. Infact, there exist very few absolute cases of infertility in the 21st century. The scientific committee has worked very hard while developing the programme with two facts in mind: - to give a platform to renowned international and national research workers who have contributed towards advances in the superspeciality and to display the astounding rapid developments occurring in the area of management of Infertility. The birth of the baby fulfills the quest for motherhood, and establishes the couples place in society. Infertile couples need proper guidance and counseling as regards the cause of infertility and its appropriate management. With this in mind, we have planned a focused International Congress on “The Ovary Unraveled “organized jointly by Indian Society for Assisted Reproduction and Mumbai Obstetrics and Gynecological Society. The congress aims at updating the delegates with the academic advancements in clinical practice and research focused on the ovary. Infertility management has been undergoing a vast change over the last couple of decades. Modalities of treatment, which were considered only to be remotely available, are now a part of infertility management on a routine basis. Anovulation and Ovarian Pathology is responsible for 50% of female factor infertility.

During the congress, well planned sessions will enable the delegates to interact with experts and fellow delegates in areas of special interest. Sessions have been devoted to stem cell therapy, poloscopy, imaging technology, genomics and metabolomics will be made with an aim to update current knowledge, rationalize concepts and strengthen judgement. Balanced views on the explosive Third Party Reproduction, with a special interest in oocyte donation, that has come as a messiah to the childless, will be aired in the light of ethical and legal considerations so that the promising benefits of this technology can be channelized to the right use. These sessions will provide impetus to practitioners to refine their protocols and be able to offer alternative therapies to obtain optimal results.

See the Chaitya cave (cave no. 3), & the darbar of Maharaja (10). Cave 35 houses the Vihara has relics of Buddha seated on a lotus and see some traces of the painting in cave 21, which has columns similar to those at Elephanta caves. Later visit the Hare Rama Hare Krishna temple and the Juhu Beach. Lastly some time for shopping at the famous Linking Road in Bandra which caters to all types of shoppers & has many good restaurants serving Thai, Mexican, Punjabi, Continental etc.

Embryo implantation failure after transfer constitutes a limiting factor in ART success. The interaction between a high quality embryo and a receptive endometrium, after an atraumatic embryo transfer is of paramount importance, yet many of these steps are still poorly understood. During the past two decades the availability of new hormonal analogues and development of alternative protocols has spurred development of new ovarian stimulation regimens that must be individualized to patient characteristics. The inconvenience, complexity, cost and risks associated with ovarian stimulation with gonadotropins for in vitro fertilization (IVF) make many patients reluctant to rely on this therapy.

Thus, patients and their physicians now increasingly employ unstimulated, i.e., “natural,” ovarian cycles as a means of preparing oocytes for IVF. The emerging technique of in vitro maturation (IVM) might make natural cycle IVF more practical. The faculty will compare clinical outcomes and discuss the practical aspects application of IVM to IVF in polycystic ovary syndrome and fertility preservation along with the published clinical data.
