German Government´s New Volunteer Program German organizations send some thousand experts and 2500 volunteers to developing countries annualy. To meet the great demand of expertise the German Government has set up a new volunteer program – “weltwärts”. Especially young people without an academic degree will have an opportunity to volunteer in a developing country. Start in 2008 with up to 3000 volunteers, number shall increase to up to 10000 volunteers in 2010.
