Public engagement in Norway → All participants are obliged to do information work after returning. Minimum one month. → The Fredskorpset partners will also be engaged in different inhouse activities. → The Fredskorpset participants from the South, working in Norway, will also take part. Conclusion The activities will be too scattered and are mostly relevant on the microlevel. 1
Bringing people together Fredskorpset Norway believes that meetings with different people will create understanding, build bridges, and increase people’s knowledge and enthusiasm for development issues. Two examples I Events all over Norway. → Cooperation with the municipalities. → Establish north/south network with the municipality as the ”Spider” 30 events every year.

Activities • Workshop to discuss how to make the municipality and its inhabitants more international. • Educational programmes in all secondary schools in the municipality. • Focus on the MDCs in different activities. • Fairtrade is promoted. • The prize International municipality is awarded to active municipalities. • Culture activities to show the diversity in the municipality. • The local newspapers write a lot about the event. • Make sure that the event reach the refugees/immigrants settled in the municipality

II Bring all partners, friends of Fredskorpset and the official Norway together.(Every second year) • Oslo City Hall was packed with 1200 people. 3 Nobel laureate spoke on peace and reconciliation. • Lecture series for all partners on a whole day. • Workshops on development cooperation. • Seminares with the different Fredskorpset programmes. Conclusion This creates a national event which gives coverage to north/south issues.
