To establish a uniform standard of knowledge amongst irrigation designers. To promote the more focused use of sophisticated equipment. To broaden the professional image of irrigation designers. To lay the foundation for more specialized training.
COURSE FORMAT Lectures on theoretical aspects are supported by demonstrations. During the course there will be opportunities to discuss practical problems. WHO SHOULD ATTEND • •

ASSESMENT Written exams will be taken after each module. The requirement to pass is 50%. Successful candidates receive a certificate. Candidates who achieve more than 75% will be issued a certificate with “distinction”. The best student will receive a bronze medal at the bi-annual SABI congress.
2 ASSESMENT Only applicable to candidates who fail a maximum of two subjects. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS Senior certificate preferably with mathematics, or relevant experience. COURSE FEES R1500/module and a R150 admin fee for the final exam (includes the Irrigation Design Manual which is used as a study material).
