IRQ/PORTS 



IRQ – Interrupt Request each device (ISA and VESA bus) is assigned a unique IRQ. The IRQ is used to interrupt the CPU and let it know that the device needs attention. The CPU knows which device is requesting attention by IRQ address. Prologic Recruitment Ltd.

I/O Address 

The I/O address used by the CPU to communicate back the device. The CPU will run the program loaded in the I/O address assigned to the requesting device, to service the request.
