Ava Kuhlman McDermott (6) English I Honors 11 February 2019 Invocation to the Muses “Sing to me of the girl, Muse, the girl of indecision and intelligence, drifted in and off of her track, once she had discovered the valued art of the ukulele. Many talented friends she saw and learned their practice, many obstacles she experienced, fearful for the outcome, consistently attempting to balance her time to complete all of her tasks. But she could not add more hours to her day, despite her attempts her other responsibilities and work filled her day, the time bandits, her obligations and burdens destroyed her passion, and Cronos, God of Time, gave no help and maintained a rapid pace. Initiate her story, Muse, daughter of Zeus, begin with her decision to overpower her limits - sing for our time too.”
