Polar Bear class have been learning about inventors and inventions. We have learnt about the Penny Farthing, the first car and the very first hot air balloon.
The children invented their own vehicles that had a purpose.
Some children invented a car for a Super Hero.
Some invented cars for animals
When we were researching the invention of the first hot air balloon using the internet, the children found out some really interesting facts.
Did you know that the first hot air balloon was invented in 1783 by two brothers from France called Joseph Michel and Jacques Etienne Montgolfiere. The first passengers were a duck, a sheep and a rooster!
The children in Polar Bear class love learning using ‘Thinking Hats’. We have different coloured hats that help us think in different ways. The hats help us solve problems and understand our work.
