Speakers Kerry Appleton, Consul (Trade & Investment) & Head of New York Office, UK Trade & Investment SIG Leaders Angelina Hsiaoping Jao, President/CEO, TMGI, Inc. Profile: Kerry Appleton Kerry Appleton joined the British Consulate General in 1998. In her role as Consul (Trade & Investment), Kerry manages a team focused on transatlantic international business development. Kerry's position centres primarily on assisting new to export UK companies looking to enter the US market and attracting, retaining and adding value to investments made by US companies in the UK. She was recently promoted to Head of the UK Trade & Investment, New York. Prior to her time at UK Trade & Investment Kerry worked for Hong Kong based law firm, Oldham, Lie & Nie. Kerry Appleton graduated from Loughborough University in 1995 with a BA (Hons) degree in Political Science. She completed a PostGraduate Diploma in Law from Nottingham Law School in 1997. Kerry is currently studying part-time for her MBA with a concentration in Finance. Profile: Angelina Hsiaoping Jao Ms. Jao's broad experience with economic development and global marketing has been garnered from leading teams in both corporate and entrepreneurial positions. After several successful years in global data telecommunications marketing and sales for Global 100 telecom companies, Ms. Jao saw a niche opportunity and founded TMGI, a management consulting firm specializing in global strategic business and economic sustainable development (www.tmgi.us). She has completed professional studies in Information Technology at New York University and Columbia University, and has an M.S. in Policy Development/ Global Commerce Management from the University of Maryland. Ms. Jao is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, a classically trained pianist and former amateur bodybuilder and student of martial arts. Ms. Jao is based in New York City and travels frequently. She is the founder of a number of international and regional social and professional networking clubs.
