1. Elaborate your educational background with a technical degree, computer science degree or with self taught practical or business experience. 2. Do you have experience in any way with accounts payable and receivable and using a software system as a record keeping or tracking tool – please elaborate this experience? 3. Elaborate your knowledge of PC Hardware/Software and networking technologies. 4. If there was no technology network at all within this district, what type of hardware and software network would you put to work for this district and why? 5. Elaborate the process you would go through to put this network in place; in other words, how would you go about making this decision – would you use the expertise you now have, gather information, use people as resources, or all of the above and why? 6. Elaborate your knowledge of telecommunications (VOIP), Audio/Visual Equipment, and instructional and administrative software. 7. If you were going to implement in this district educational administrative software to help manage the district, what would it be, why, and how would you go about this process? 8. Elaborate and expand upon your knowledge of multiple Windows Operating Systems (Server and Work Station) IIS, SQL, soft grid, SMS, Exchange, RIS, and WDS. 9. Elaborate and expand your knowledge of LAN/Wan internetworking technology, including routers, switches, VPN’s, and Firewalls. 10.Explain to us what kind of security system you would employ to ensure all this equipment is secure, operable, and properly backed up. 11.Elaborate the difference between managing and leading. 12.Have you ever written a 3 year plan for technology that envisions leading an institution from point A to B; if so, please expand how you went about this process? 13.If we said to you here is X amount of dollars for technology budget for a given school year, how would you go about putting together a technology budget for this district? 14.As a trouble shooter, are there basic principles that guide you in equipment maintenance and repair, and if so, what are they and why? 15.There are several solid candidates for this position take a moment and look over the job description , what is it that makes you the best and most qualified individual for this position.
