1980s • AsiaNet (with UUCP links) was formed. • Pacific Computer Communications Symposium • Annual Meeting (IANW-AP) of Internet Community in Asia Pacific Started • Internet replaced ARPANET. • Internet became available in several countries in Asia Pacific. 4

1990s • Asia Pacific Network Group (APNG) • Many APNG Spinoffs in 1990s; APNIC, APTLD, APCERT, APIA, APAN, AP*,…. • APRICOT started in 1996. • And many more Internet organizations in the 21st Century. 5
