IB Examinations • Exams are offered in 11th and 12th grades. • You will register for Exams through your 11th and 12th grade classes • There are two levels of Exams offered: • 1. Standard Level or SL-May be taken by 11th and 12th graders • 2. Higher Level or HL- Typically taken by 12th graders only

You may participate in the IB Program by:  Being a FULL IB DIPLOMA Candidate OR  Being an IB CERTIFICATE Candidate Regardless of what you choose, you must take challenging classes to get there. We will be conducting 1-1 interviews during your sophomore year to discuss the above two options.

FAQ 1  Do I need to sign up or register to be in the IB program as a 9th or 10th grader?  Answer: There is no registration or sign up process in grade 9 or in grade 10. The classes you take in grade 9 and 10 are important in preparing you for appropriate IB classes in 11th & 12th grades

FAQ 4 What are the sophomore interviews and when are they scheduled? Answer: Sophomore interviews are conducted to make sure that students are scheduled for the right classes. The interview is NOT conducted for purposes of selection. Students self-select to be in the program. Interviews are scheduled to begin December 1 and will be conducted in Room 551 (Ms. J’s office) Friday, November 14, 2008

FAQ 5 How do I sign up to be interviewed? Answer: We will be asking advisors to provide us a list of names of students interested in the IB program. Every student who is interested will be interviewed.
