Project for the international Cooperation on Higher Education Quality Enhancement By the Consortium of Universities in Kyoto Aiming at improvement of quality of education, enhancement of international competitiveness and helping students fostering global view
★Aims Guarantee and improvement of the quality of higher education among universities in Kyoto and their enhancement of international competitiveness. Implementation and assessment of International Standards and Guidelines on Education by introducing staff and faculty exchange programs and promotion of effective programs for FD and SD to foster students take part in global community.
★ Aims Implementation of International Standards and Guidelines on Education of university evaluation and promotion of programs for internationally guaranteed quality of education. Fostering and develop human resources who take active roles in global community with international view and creativity. Acquire excellent international students and researchers from overseas.
★Effect ①Improvement of overall academic level by introducing International Standards and Guidelines on Education in developing educational content. ②Encouragement in changing in the way of thinking on higher education among Faculty and Staff through exchange programs as well as their effective developments. With such development, establishing a framework which provides supports to design internationally viable curriculum. ③To play a foundational role of Quality Assurance on Higher Education over all as well as promotion of unique feature of each universities and junior collages by this cooperative program between us.
★Effect ④Possibility of further development of the program to “Double-Degree System” which enable students to acquire more than one degree in each institution. ⑤Improvement of the cost effectiveness of the studying abroad programs by combining such courses as “Preliminary courses”, and “Follow-up Programs” before and after the programs along with the “Study Abroad Programs” and “Exchange Programs” themselves. At the same time, interactive exchange program will enable even those who don’t (are not able to ) study abroad to build international view by communicating with exchanged students. ⑥Create and expand more educational opportunities to more students by developing a simple exchange
