Installing Solaris Volume Manager - (Solaris 9) by Jeff Hunter, Sr. Database Administrator Volume Manager is included and automatically installed with the Solaris 9 operating environment using either the Entire+OEM, Entire, Developer, or End User install option. NOTE: Users of Solaris 8 will recall that Solstice DiskSuite 4.2.1 had to be installed manually after installing the Solaris operating environment!
