ION SETTINGS
Aerisa
makes
a
family
of
AerBreeze
units
for
homes.
These
include:
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
The
vast
majority
of
homes
use
airhandlers
that
heat
and
cool
between
1500
and
2500
square
feet.
Larger
homes
use
multiple
airhandlers.
The
AerBreeze
1250
is
the
best
solution
for
the
standard
home,
allowing
adjustment
of
the
Ion
Dial
from
1
to
5
to
handle
1500
to
2500
square
feet.
Most
homes
suffer
from
odors
that
are
relatively
embedded
from
long
periods
of
odor
production
from
smokers,
pets,
and
possible
odors
inhaled
from
outdoors.
Aerisa AerWaveTM 1250D Air Purification System
For
homes
with
tough
odors,
assure
the
fan
runs
for
one
or
two
days
so
that
the
ions
saturate
enough
to
attack
the
embedded
odors.
Most
generally,
the
unit
should
be
set
at
Level
2
or
3.
It
is
also
important
to
assure
the
fan
runs
20%
to
30%
of
the
time,
even
during
seasons
where
no
heating
or
cooling
is
required.
Several
vendors
provide
digital
thermostats
that
allow
for
managing
fan
utilization.
TROUBLESHOOTING Aerisa
products
are
generally
trouble
free
and
require
only
annual
maintenance
which
requires
replacing
the
AerGen
tube.
If
the
unit
is
not
working,
the
user
will
generally
notice
that
odors
have
returned.
A
green
light
on
the
AerWave
unit
signifies
whether
the
unit
is
working.
If
unit
is
plugged
in
and
the
light
is
off,
there
is
a
problem.
• Turn
the
system
off,
and
check
the
fuse.
Verify
if
it
is
functional
(wire
inside
is
intact)
•
If
the
fuse
is
not
functional,
replace
the
fuse
with
a
1
AMP,
250V,
5
x
20
mm
fuse.
•
If
the
fuse
is
functional,
the
tube
may
have
a
tiny
crack
that
could
cause
a
short
in
the
system.
Install
a
new
fuse
and
reattach
the
tube
and
power
up
the
unit.
If
the
fuse
blows,
the
tube
is
defective,
and
must
be
replaced.
•
Tubes
must
be
replaced
annually
to
assure
proper
ion
production.

Be
sure
that
the
maximum

does
not
exceed
20A
since
the
internal

Installation Instructions Note
–
the
Aerisa

purification
system
is
intended
for
installation
in
duct
systems
only.
The
system
should
not
be
installed
outside
of
duct

since
contact
with
the
high
voltage
ionization

is
extremely
dangerous.

Inspect
the
ionization
tube
for
damage
by
making
sure
that
there
are
no
cracks
in
the
glass
tube,
the
end

Note:
The
ground
clip
should
be
pulled
by
slightly
to
allow
the

to
be
properly
screwed
into
the
unit.
Once
the

WARNING
–
The
secondary
voltage
to
the
ionization
tube
is
3000
volts.
Do
not
connect
the
Aerisa
TM AerWave
to
power
before
the
mechanical
installation
is
complete.
Always
disconnect
power
to
the
unit
before
handling
any
of
its
components.
Make
sure
that
the
unit
is
interlocked
with
the
supply
fan,
or
that
a
pressure
switch
has
been
installed.
TM Generally,
the
Aerisa
AerWave
should
only
operate
when
there
is
airflow.
CARE AND M AINTENANCE TM
The
Aerisa
AerWave
requires
replacement
of
the
ionization
tube
at
one
year
intervals.
For
replacement,
please
contact
your
local
distributor
or
email
Aerisa
Inc.

M OUNTING LOCATIONS Ion
production
is
directly
proportional
to
the
amount
of
airflow
over
the
AerGen
tube,
so
it
is
very
important
to
assure
that
the
AerGen
is
installed
to
assure
maximum
airflow.
The
most
effective
location
for
the
unit
is
on
the
supply
side
of
the
AHU.
Should
this
not
be
possible,
it
is
permissible
to
put
the
AerWave
unit
in
the
return
air
duct,
inside
a
blower,
or
between
the
heating
coil
and
filter.
Please
note,
that
some
degradation
of
ions
is
likely
and
that
the
unit
may
need
to
be
adjusted
to
a
higher
ion
adjustment
on
the
Ion
Dial.
For
users
that
own
a
gas‐fired
or
oil‐fired
furnace,
please
note
that
very
high
temperatures
close
to
the
heat
source
may
exceed
the
specifications
for
the
AerGen
glass
and
cause
cracking.
Installation
of
the
unit
should
be
far
enough
from
that
source
to
assure
that
air
temperatures
are
below
100°
F.
Additionally,
assure
installing
in
locations
where
moisture
will
not
collect
such
as
downstream
from
the
cooling
coil.
