WHAT’S NEW THIS YEAR
Not only will all your Conference favorites be back this year, but we’re adding plenty of new events and activities. Security Track This new and emerging area includes a community of people using their skills in technology and analytics to change the world of security. There will be five securityfocused talks on Tuesday in Lone Star GH. These sessions feature O.R. and analytics with a keen eye toward influencing policymakers in the national defense and security space, including state and local organizations. This track is the first in a series of events culminating in the 2020 INFORMS Conference on Security in Monterey, CA. Poster Competition The conference will hold its first competitive analytics poster competition among practitioners and students. Poster presentations will be scheduled in two sessions held after lunch on Monday and Tuesday in the Exhibit Hall. Certificates will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place on each day, in two separate tracks: 1) Students and 2) Practitioners/Professors. On Tuesday afternoon, the Top Student Poster and Top Practitioner/Professor Poster will be announced in Room 213 at 4:40pm. Analytics Hackathon The Freestyle O.R. Supreme Data Hackathon event is co-sponsored by Analytics2Go and the INFORMS Data Mining Section. Teams were asked to design and deliver an analytics solution with an open-source tool/software component, and sell how this solution could be operable and scalable to support the business problem and their customers. Come listen to the finalists present their solutions to the challenge question: What is the future of autonomous mail/delivery services across North America through 2030?
CODE OF CONDUCT

Attendees should adhere to common sense rules for public behavior, personal interaction, common courtesy, and respect for private property. When at the meeting, immediately report any incidents in which you feel a meeting attendee is abusive, insulting, intimidating, bothersome, or acting in an unsafe or illegal manner to the INFORMS meeting registration desk. www.2019analytics.com #2019ANALYTICS 9

ABOUT THE TRACKS AI & Healthcare Joining two popular areas, this track features talks about the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and analytics in healthcare, not AI in Healthcare.
Applications in Analytics Award and Hackathon finalists will also present. Special sessions will include presentations about the Certified Analytics Professional (CAP®) Program.
Analytics in the Public Sector How analytics can solve public policy problems, from improving disaster relief efforts, to healthcare access, to criminal justice and immigration reforms.
Marketing Analytics Featuring leaders from companies and academia to share the application of analytics in marketing such as promotions, pricing, advertising, market forecasting, and best practices.
Analytics Leadership Leaders of analytics efforts & groups discuss how to build a world class analytics team and define, solve, deliver, and communicate an analytics solution, and what you can do to succeed within an organization.
Optimization Optimization is one of the core methods in the O.R. toolkit and can also be viewed as “prescriptive analytics.” This track uses optimization to solve practical problems encountered by those in practice, to achieve the best outcome.
(ANALYTICS IN THE PUB. SECT.)
Analytics Process Treating analytics as a process, not just a collection of tools, leads to better outcomes, which is reflected in the 7 Domains of the Certified Analytics Professional (CAP®) Job Task Analysis. Data Mining The INFORMS Section on Data Mining is one of the fastest growing subdivisions in recent years. This track provides a survey of applications in data mining and knowledge discovery. Decision & Risk Analysis Effective ways to aid those who make complex decisions, with talks about systematic, quantitative, and interactive approaches to address choices, considering unexpected consequences. Emerging Analytics Practitioners and researchers share new areas, explain open problems, formalize new problem areas, and define challenging questions. Franz Edelman Competition Recognizes and rewards outstanding examples of OR/MS and advanced analytics in practice. Finalists will compete for the top prize by showcasing analytics projects that had major impacts on their client organizations.
Revenue Management & Pricing Analytics leaders from top companies share the latest developments in pricing, revenue management, and distribution. Use advanced analytics and O.R. to better understand and target your customers, improve pricing practices and demand forecasts, and increase revenue. Risk Management & Predictive Analytics A compilation of high-quality presentations from risk management and predictive analytics, not necessarily their intersection. Presenters will highlight methods that can be applied across various industry verticals. (RISK M. & PRED. ANALYTICS) Security Features O.R. and analytics with a security focus and a keen eye toward influencing policymakers in the national defense and security space, including state and local organizations. This track is the first in a series of events culminating in the 2020 INFORMS Conference on Security. Supply Chain Learn how newer developments are being applied in practice in various industries, to make sure that the right things get to manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, and consumers when they are needed.
Implementing Analytics Many analytics projects never get implemented or used, even those based on great work. Speakers will share their experiences in implementing analytic solutions and tips for success.
Supply Chain Analytics Businesses are evolving to keep pace with emerging concepts and innovative tech. Speakers share practical applications being implemented within their supply chain analytics programs.
INFORMS Prizes & Special Sessions Features Wagner Prize, INFORMS Prize, and UPS Smith Prize winner presentations. Innovative
Technology Tutorials Join the exhibitors as they discuss innovations and best practices in the field.
