AIM AND OBJECTIVE OF DRILL JIG • • • •

To eliminate the manual marking process. Reduction in process time. To increase the accuracy. To reduce operator fatigue.

ASSUMTIONS MADE WHILE DESIGNING • The finished product is not a machine or automobile component where extreme accuracy is needed. • The drill diameter as well as centre to centre to distance will change from batch to batch. • We are providing solution to local fabrication workshop engaged in manufacturing of grills, channel doors, furniture etc.

Chamfer will quickly centralize the job at the entry thereby avoiding interference at the time of feeding. (during faster loading)

Retainer screw will prevent 2) Rotation of drill bush with drill bit. 3) Climbing of drill bush with drill bit. In addition to this it facilitate us to change the drill bush when it is worn out or change in drill or reamer diameter.

STOPPER CUM LOCKING PIN. The straight knurled pin acts as stopper while drilling the first hole and act as a locking pin for remaining holes. Inserting this pin in various holes will decide centre to centre distance of drilled holes on the work piece.
