Internationella Engelska Gymnasiet Application for SPECIAL Leave of absence The school has official holidays during the school year and therefore we usually do not approve extra leave of absence during the term for travel abroad or in Sweden, particularly for holidays and extended vacations. The school is the students work place, it should be respected by the students and their parents. Student, who get an approved leave of absence, are responsible for ensuring they keep up with school work. The mentor can approve leave of absence for three days in a row, total 5 days in a school year. More than 5 days will only be approved by the Principal or the Assistant Principal in cases of emergency.
