Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the grant of ICAR-Senior Research Fellowship (PGS) for pursuing Ph.D. degree in the field of Agriculture and allied Sciences for 2008-09. The award of ICAR-SRF (PGS) is for three years. The candidates should have Master’s Degree in the concerned discipline, with 55% marks or its equivalent OGPA for General and OBC categories; 50% marks or its equivalent OGPA for SC, ST, and PH categories, from any recognized university in India and abroad. The candidates appearing in the final semester would also be eligible provided they produce the degree completion certificate from the Registrar to this effect by the date of Examination The candidates must not have attained the age of 30 years for General, 33 years for OBC, 35 years for SC, ST and PH categories and 45 years for in-service candidates (regular employees) of ICAR, SAUs and other organisations dealing with agricultural sector. The crucial date for determining the age limit for all categories will be the date of examination. The examination consists of 2 papers in objective type having multiple-choice OMR based questions. Paper-I will be in general knowledge including general awareness in Agriculture. Paper-II will be in 13 major subject groups. The details of the major subject group and sub-subjects and other details are given in the Information Bulletin. The examination will be conducted on 25th January 2009 (Sunday). The Information Bulletins with Application Forms will be available for sale from 20th October, 2008 to 10th November, 2008 and can be obtained in person by depositing demand draft of Rs.700 for General and OBC categories, and Rs.350 for SC, ST and PH categories with additional cash of Rs.25 per Information Bulletin as handling and service charges from the office of the Registrars of State Agricultural Universities, CAU, Imphal, IARI, IVRI, NDRI, CIFE, CARI, Port Blair, Central Bank of India: - Gudimalkapuram, Himayatnagar, and Mushirabad branches at Hyderabad, and the Controller of Examination, NAARM, Hyderabad. contd..

It can also be obtained by post from “the Controller of Examination, NAARM, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad 500 407, Andhra Pradesh”, by sending a written request along with Demand Draft of Rs.750 (Rs.700 towards cost of Bulletin and Rs.50 towards postal and handling charges) for General and OBC categories, and Rs.400 (Rs.350 cost of Bulletin and Rs.50 towards postal and handling charges) for SC, ST and PH categories and a self addressed envelope (30 cm x 25 cm) without postage stamps. The Bank Draft should be drawn in favour of “ICAR Unit NAARM Account”, payable at Hyderabad. Name and address of the candidate must be written on the backside of the Bank Draft. The last date for the receipt of filled in applications in the office of the Controller of Examination, National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad 500 407, is 22nd November 2008.
