Mt. Daniel Internet Safety/Training Action Plan GOAL STATEMENT

Instructional staff members will become familiar with the basic principles of Internet safety. They will incorporate i-SAFE lessons into their teaching whenever appropriate.

Meet with instructional staff to explain i-SAFE e-mail blast to come. Demonstrate procedures for logging in and viewing modules.

Staff members get acquainted with the concepts of Internet safety and the use of i-SAFE.

After viewing, staff members return to their own computers to log on and confirm accounts.

Arrange for sending of e-mail blast to instructional staff.

Each instructional staff member chooses a time and place to view i-Learn training modules: 1) I-Learn 2) Personal Safety 3) Cyber Community

Staff members log on and confirm accounts.

Staff logs into i-SAFE, views modules and reports to DV when modules are completed.

Mt. Daniel Internet Safety/Training Action Plan Classroom teachers become familiar with i-SAFE curriculum, using the lessons as needed to supplement the FCCPS Internet Safety Curriculum lessons from NetSmartz.

Classroom teachers incorporate iSAFE activities into computer lab lessons as appropriate.

Classroom teachers.

Classroom teachers use lessons during the school year when appropriate for student activities.
