I am alone, completely and utterly isolated. In the silence the still night closes in upon me. Under the sky I stand gazing up at the stars in all their glory, their immortal beauty so akin to the fair elves of old. All around me a sweet wind sings, bringing with it the scents of all things green and good. I have no fears, for in the night I find solace and peace. Though to many it is fraught with peril, in the night I find my sanctuary, for not all that walk in darkness are evil, just as the wind is loth to bring with it the fumes and vapors of evil from afar, nor do the stars gaze upon us with malice and hatred. Alas! For it is naught but by the folly of men that such things come to pass, leaving neither that which is good and green or that which is stained with evil unmarked by sorrow and tragedy.
