Financial Institution not supportive (no guidelines insensitive to power sector from the Central Bank)



No FI in Nepal possesses expertise to monitor & finance as HPP uses a number of discipline like civil, electrical, mechanical engg., hydrologist, geologist, environmentalist, other HRs etc.

The PDF has not financed any project till date. The procedure is long and the developers donot wait as they have to pay interest of the remaining amount.



With HP development of 10,000 MW: in construction phase: 2000 persons per year for 750 MW

In operation phase: 32,000 people per year  

 

Avoid 26 million barrels of Oil and save 1040 million US $ (assuming oil price of $40/barrel). Substantial increase in the GDP. The country will be heading towards development. No load shedding
