1. Oszkár Asbóth and Tódor Kármán – helicopter (1928)

1. Football
the Hungarian “Golden Team”:
- 1952: Olympic champions - 1953: England-Hungary 3:6 → the match of the century: the English team was defeated by Hungary!! 1954: Germany-Hungary → Hungary was defeated by the Germans in the final of the World Cup; Hungary won the silver medal only (“the miracle of Bern”; the Germans were surprised at the defeat of Hungary)
Ferenc Puskás/”Puskás Öcsi”: world-famous Hungarian football player successes: - Hungarian champion (5x), Spanish champion (6x), winner of world cup, Olympic champion his records: the most goals in one match (7), the most goals in one season (50), the 3rd most efficient football player in the 20th century (489 goals)
2. Boxing Laci Papp: - 3 golden medals in Olympic Games - he is regarded to be approximately as great in boxing as Mike Tyson or Muhammad Ali
3. Water polo - effective for 80 years continuously - Olympic champions (7x), world champions (1x), European champions (12x) - Crucial: Olympic Games in Melbourne, 1956 - Hungary-Soviet Union Olympic water polo match: "A bloody war that spilled into the pool."
