Hugh Reed Cemetery

Reed Cemetery — Located near Barnwell County line. From the J. C. Farrar home on the Old Charleston– Augusta Stagecoach Road, turn at the next intersection on S-5-29, pass old Matthews house (the Samuel Reed Home), turn left on S-5-37 at a grove of planted pines, the entrance to the cemetery is on the left where a few oaks are growing among the pines.

First wife of Tullie W. Reed. Her father, Samuel J. Reed, was a nephew of Hugh Reed, son of Samuel & Elizabeth Boylston Reed. Tullie W. Reed is buried in the Williston Cemetery, Williston, SC.

There are 4 very deep holes that appear to have places where graves have been moved. Also some cypress markers, and sunken places of other unmarked graves.
