Dear Resident of Halifax Chebucto: Election Day is Tuesday, June 9th, 2009. I am asking for your vote so that I can continue to represent you and your family and our community, in Nova Scotia’s Legislature. Over the last few years Nova Scotians have stopped voting according to tradition. Each candidate seeking your support has had to earn it, each time. The NDP record and my commitment are now before you. I’ve worked hard to earn your trust. It has been a privilege to represent the residents of Halifax Chebucto. I have represented this area on city council from 1994 to 1998, and as MLA since 1998. Previously I was Executive Director of the Ecology Action Centre, Nova Scotia’s oldest established citizens’ Environmental organization. Over the past 10 years, my NDP colleagues and I have provided Nova Scotia’s most effective Opposition. I have been proud to work along with them on behalf of you the residents of Halifax Chebucto. Much remains to be accomplished. Our objective is to put you and your family first.

Genuine leadership for today’s families In challenging times what makes more sense: making life better for people like you and your family, or making things worse?
