Life Building Station : How To “Sow & Reap” Financially : Session I : The God Of Abundance
1
SESSION I THE GOD OF ABUNDANCE 1.
Our God is a God of ABUNDANCE. He is the owner of all things created on earth. He is Jehovah Jireh.
2.
True Christians can tap into this source by the GRACE and mercy of God.
3.
And God is able to make all GRACE abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an ABUNDANCE for every good work (2 Corinthians 9:8). As children of God, God wants to make all grace abound to us.
4.
We must rid of our mind first of all of the spirit of POVERTY.
5.
For by grace, we as the spiritual descendants of Abraham, Issac and Jacob INHERITED the promises of Christ.
6.
We are not to act merely on the present results in our lives. Our inheritance is that of ABUNDANCE and not that of LACK. We must act like the person who shall inherit the promises of God.
7.
We can expect RESISTANCE in our mind if we have been conditional to think lack for a long period of time. However, we must press on until succeed.
8.
The goal of our FAITH should be to live a life of ‘always having all SUFFICIENCY in everything’.
9.
As Christians living in the Kingdom, we should always represent the LIFE and POWER that are available to every citizen of the Kingdom.
10.
During Jesus’ walk on earth, there was never one NEED that He could not meet because of a lack of SUPPLY.
11.
Twice Jesus MULTIPLIED bread and fish and always had such an ABUNDANCE that there was plenty left over.
12.
Now may He who supplies SEED to the sower, and bread for food, supply and MULTIPLY the seed you have sown and INCREASE the fruits of your righteousness (2 Corinthians 9:10).
13.
In summary, we must think and expect an ABUNDANCE for us to receive!
Life Building Station : How To “Sow & Reap” Financially : Session II : We Are Stewards Of Money Of God
2
SESSION 2 WE ARE STEWARDS OF MONEY FOR GOD 1.
To know about stewardship, we have to know that money is IMPORTANT and a RESOURCE.
2.
Money is a SERVANT and not our masters. We must love PEOPLE and use MONEY and not the other way round. The parable of the Unjust Steward (Luke 16).
3.
“No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve GOD and MAMMON.” (Luke 16:13)
4.
Money must CIRCULATE. We should not hoard money (Proverbs 11:24-26). Ecclesiastes says that “Give a serving to seven, and also to eight, for you do not know what evil will be on the earth.” (Ecclesiastes 11:2).
5.
As we are only stewards of God, we must maximize the TALENTS given to us. Cast your bread upon the waters, for you will find it after many days (Ecclesiastes 11:1). We need to INVEST our money and not hoard it.
6.
As stewards, we have to be WISE and DISCERNING in the management of the resources given to us (Proverbs 6:6-8).
7.
The parable of the minas (Luke 19:11-27).
8.
“For I say to you, that to everyone who has will be GIVEN; and from him who does not have, even what he has will be TAKEN AWAY from him.” (Luke 19:26)
9.
The investments we should know.
Life Building Station : How To “Sow & Reap” Financially : Session III : The Principle of Sowing & Reaping
3
SESSION III THE PRINCIPLE OF SOWING AND REAPING A.
Kingdom Principle
1.
This principle is a KINGDOM principle. This principle teaches us to be generous in all good things (Galatians 6:6).
2.
We have to learn to share things. In the Kingdom of God, we SOW financial seeds into the Kingdom so that we can REAP all the spiritual riches not just material riches (Ephesians 1:3).
3.
Every time we sow a financial seed for the Kingdom, we are depositing into our account in the HEAVENLY realms.
4.
Do not be deceived. God is not mocked; for whatever a man SOWS, that he will also REAP (Galatians 6:7).
5.
The law of reaping and sowing can be demonstrated by us releasing the GENEROSITY of God in our life by being GENEROUS ourselves.
6.
If we have an attitude of just getting by, then we may just sow SPARINGLY, reaping SPARINGLY.
B.
The Harvest
1.
One harvest depends on the generosity of our hearts. He who SOWS sparingly will also REAP sparingly, and he who SOWS bountifully will also REAP bountifully (2 Corinthians 9:6).
2.
We must give with a cheerful heart. So let each one give as he PURPOSES in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a CHEERFUL giver (2 Corinthians 9:7).

C.
When Do We Sow Our Financial Seeds?
1.
Giving is to be SET ASIDE during the first week of the month before all other expenses.
2.
After we have sow our financial seed, we must let the seed grow. This is the law of GENDER. We cannot wait for the ideal time to sow to realize the last bit of profit. “In the morning sow your seed, and in the evening do not withhold your hand. For you do not know which will prosper, either this or that, or whether both alike will be good.” (Ecclesiastes 11:6)
3.
The law of GENDER dictates that a certain period of time must elapse for the seed to bear FRUIT. In other words, there is a gestation or incubation period for the seed to bear fruit.
4.
During this ‘waiting’ time, you must keep up your FAITH to believe this principle.
5.
You must guard your mind and heart against DOUBT (Philippians 4:6-7).
6.
And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall REAP if we do not LOSE HEART (Galatians 6:9).
D.
Where do we sow the Seed
1.
We must DIVERSIFY our investments (Ecclesiastes 11:1-2).
2.
In FINANCIALLY ADVERSE circumstances, we should have faith to continue to sow.
Life Building Station : How To “Sow & Reap” Financially : Session IV : Tithing And Offering
5
SESSION IV TITHING AND OFFERING A.
Biblical Support In The Old Testament
1.
Abraham TITHE a tenth of all the spoils gathered in a recent war to Melchizedek, a type of Christ. “Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine; he was the priest of God Most High. And he blessed him (Abraham) and said: ‘Blessed be Abram of God Most High. Possessor of heaven and earth; And blessed be God Most High, Who has delivered your enemies into your hand.”
2.
And he gave him a TITHE of all.” (Genesis 14:18-20)
B.
The Mosaic Law
1.
Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
2.
‘Speak thus to the Levites, and say to them: “When you take from the children of Israel the tithes which I have given you from them as your inheritance, then you shall offer up a heave offering of it to the Lord, a tenth of the TITHE.” (Numbers 18:26)
3.
TEN per cent to be given to the Lord and the remaining can be used by us.
C.
Basis Of The Tithe
1.
The basis of the tithe is to honor God as the PROVIDER of the harvest. Giving the tithe reminds us that our prosperity is not our OWN doing. We are only stewards of God.
2.
The EARTH is the Lord’s, and all its FULLNESS, the world and those who dwell therein (Psalm 24:1). Life Building Station : How To “Sow & Reap” Financially : Session IV : Tithing And Offering

C.
Basis Of The Tithe
3.
We are stewards of God is reflected in the parable of the TALENTS (Matthew 25:14-30).
4.
He who is faithful in what is LEAST is faithful also in MUCH (Luke 16:10).
D.
Where To Tithe
1.
We tithe to the body where we receive our SPIRITUAL food, mainly the local CHURCH.
2.
We can also tithe to a local ministry or your SPIRITUAL FATHER who is your primary SOURCE. N ote
:
Wherever you put your tithe, you need to be clear that it is God’s CONVICTION for you.
E.
How To Tithe
1.
We save up TEN per cent of our income during the first week of the month. Gross or net? What if we are the employer? What if we are the employee?
2.
“As soon as the commandment was circulated, the children of Israel brought in abundance the FIRSTFRUITS of grain and wine, oil and honey, and of all the produce of the field; and they brought in abundantly the tithe of everything.” (2 Chronicles 31:5) In other words, tithing is giving the FIRSTFRUITS of our labors to the Lord.
3.
Honor the Lord with your possessions, and with the firstfruits of all your increase; so your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine (Proverbs 3:9-10).
4.
“You shall truly tithe all the INCREASE of your grain that the field produces year after year.” (Deuteronomy 14:22)

F.
Biblical Support In The New Testament
1.
Tithing is practiced not as a LAW, but as an accepted discipline to HONOR God.
2.
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe of mint and anise and cumin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law; justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done; without leaving the others undone.” (Matthew 23:23)
3.
Giving is from the HEART and not by LAW.
G.
Tithing Brings Blessings
1.
Tithing ensures that our pockets are not full of HOLES (Haggai 1:2-6).
2.
The enemy comes to KILL, STEAL and DESTROY (John 10:10). Tithing ensures that God protect us against the enemy from coming to steal and destroy our finances.
3.
“And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, so that he will not destroy the FRUIT of your ground, nor shall the vine fail to bear FRUIT for you in the field,” says the Lord of hosts (Malachi 3:11).
4.
Tithing builds and advances the KINGDOM. The Kingdom needs resources (Haggai 1:7-11).
5.
No TITHING and making OFFERINGS is equivalent to robbing God (Malachi 3:8).
6.
The act of tithing and offering arises from OBEDIENCE to the Word of God.
7.
God ask us to TEST Him whether heavens will be opened and blessings poured out on us if we TITHE.
8.
“Bring all the TITHES into the storehouse, that there may be FOOD in My house, and try Me now in this,” says the Lord of hosts, “if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and POUR OUT for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it.” (Malachi 3:10)

SESSION V HOW TO GET OUT OF DEBT A.
Avoid Becoming A Guarantor
1.
It is wise not to become a GUARANTOR for a stranger, otherwise you will suffer for it (Proverbs 6:1-5; 11:15).
2.
The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender (Proverbs 22:7).
3.
OWE no one anything except to LOVE one another (Romans 13:8).
4.
Parkinson’s law says that the more we have, the more we spend.
5.
Do not borrow more than you can pay back.
6.
Plan no. 1 – cut the credit card.
7.
Plan no. 2 – cut your expenses
8.
Plan no. 3 – list out your debts and reduce them to something manageable.
9.
Plan no. 4 – do some possibility thinking.
10.
Plan no. 5 – sell off things to raise the required amount.
11.
Confronting the problem and not escaping the problem. 12.
Matthew 6:33 – “But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
