HOW TO APPLY (a) Apply on plain foolscap paper (types or handwritten) as per format given in the advertisement alongwith two self addressed post cards duly tagged. (b) Only attach photocopies of the following documents or certificates alongwith the application which should be properly lagged and duly attested by a Government Gazetted Officer (i) Matriculation Certificate issued by Board of Secondary Education of Central Board of Secondary Education as proof of date of birth (marksheet, transfer certificate, affidavit, admit card, etc. are not acceptable) (ii) Degree/provisional certificate alongwith Marksheets of all the years/parts/semesters as proof of educational qualification. In case wherein only the marksheet (all semesters/parts/years) are submitted, a certificate from the Principal/Head of the institution stating that the candidate is eligible for the award of degree will aslo be required. (Iii) Affix your photograph in the space provided for the application form and attested by a govt. Gazetted Officer (iv) NCC ‘C’ certificate OR National Certificate of Bravery/Gallantry Award OR certificate showing representing of the State in National Sports competition may be also be attached, if any, held. (c) Application incomplete in any respect and/or without any of the above mentioned documents (as indicated at Paras 9(a), 9(b) i, (ii) and 9 (b) (iii) and/or not duly attested by a Govt. Gazetted officer will be rejected summarily. (d) The provisional degree certificate in support of education qualification should clearly state that the student has passed the specified degree examination and is also eligible for award of Degree Certificate. (e) No Original certificates will be enclosed with the application. (f) The application should be sent in a white envelope Superscribed in Red ink on the top left corner indicating the first preference for entry and also the subject/discipline. For example "94th TGC; mechanical Engineering: or "94th TGC; AEC ENGLISH" or 18th SSC (TECH) : MECHANICAL ENGINEERING" (g) Post your application by Registered Post with Acknowledgment Due card to be attached to reach at the following address on or before 13 Jun 2001 ; Additional directorate General of Recruiting, Rtg TGC Entry Ag’s Branch, Army Hqrs, West Block-III, RK Puram, New Delhi-110066. Military Farms only : Applications in respect of candidate applying for Military Farms Category will be forwarded directly to Directorate of Military Farms, QMG’s Branch, West Block-III, R.K. Puram, New Delhi-66. (h) Any application sent through courier service will not be accepted in the absence of arrangements for the same. (i) Candidates are advised to apply sufficiently in advance of the last date. Application received after the last date for the receipt of application i.e. 13 Jun 2001 will be summarily rejected. (j) Any change in your postal address should be communicated immediately to this Directorate. (k) Person already in Central or State Govt. Service whether permanent or in temporary capacity or as work-charge employee or those serving under the Public Sector enterprises

are required to submit an undertaking that they have informed their Head of office/department in writing that they have applied for a commission in the Army. Candidates should not that in case a communication is received by this HQ from their employer with holding permission for such application their applications shall be rejected and candidature cancelled. (l) A candidate serving in the Armed Forces must submit his application through his Commanding Officer. CHANGE IN INTERVIEW DATES : (a) Request for Change of SSB interview dates will not be accepted. However under most unavoidable circumstances, such a change may be considered based on the circumstances of the case. This will be an exception rather than a rule. Requests for such change duly supported by a certificate from a Government Gazetted Officer should be sent to Selection Centre from where the call-up letter for SSB Interview has been received and NOT to Additional Directorate General of Recruiting. (b) Candidates failing to intimate the reasons for not attending SSB interview on the due date to the Selection Centre from where the call up letter was received Will not be afforded any further change to attend SSB interview. (c) No request for change of interview centre will be entertained under any circumstances.
