Otters Take the SMHL Cup Sea Otters 5 – Hammerheads 3

The Sea Otters are your 2019 SMHL Champions after they defeated the Hammerheads 5-3 on Sunday afternoon. It was an overall team effort put on by the Otters with half the team getting on the score sheet. Defensively they moved the puck around and got it to the right guys up the ice. It was evident that when the whole team is in attendance, they are very difficult to beat. On the losing side, the Hammerheads season came to an unfortunate end, keeping the first place curse alive (as well as the Hiner curse). Next years captains: Matt Cameron, Mark Kuiken, Jay Hiner and Mitch Thurston Just a reminder that the end of the year awards party is on April 6th at 8pm at the Cat and the Fiddle. Bring some cash as we will be doing another draw for free hockey during the Leafs and Habs game!
