INTRODUCTION Aims & Objectives PURVOTTAR VISWAVIDYAPEETH (or PV in short) is established and being administered by The Human Resource Development Society of India (Sponsoring body registered under S.R.Act. XXI of 1860) as per provision of Assam Private University Establishment & Regulation Act 2007 & under section 2F of the UGC Act 1956. It aims at to propagate and develop education on the pattern of Open & Distance education system obtaining in India in general and North Eastern Region in particular. PV is unaided self-financed Academically Independent & Autonomous Educational Institution of University level. A land measuring of 30 acrs. has already been occupied in Khutabari and Construction of Viswvidyapeeth Building is in progress there. PV aims at providing an opportunity towards bright future and better prospects for each of the students who are too busy in their daily schedules, not able to attend regular studies and do not appeared the examinations conducted by regular Universities/Boards. Constitutionality & Reliability It is but natural for an ambitious lover of education to enquire before seeking admission in any Institution reliability besides employment opportunities. We clarify that all the Educational Institutions (Boards, Councils or Universities) are Autonomous Bodies and it is left to their discretion to allow or refuse admission to those coming from other Universities, Colleges or Institutions etc. Nevertheless they hold a certificate, Diploma or a Degree from a particular Board or Institution. Syllabus The Syllabus of PV is fully based on par with the Universities recognized by UGC and Govt. of India Examinations. Learning materials are specially prepared by the team of

Programme Evaluation The System of evaluation for Distance Education Students as per Rules of Distance Education Council New Delhi. Purvottar Viswavidyapeeth is constituated with Purvottar Institute, Purvottar Institute of Business Management, Purvottar Institute of Engineering and Technology & Purvottar Institute of Health Sciences offers the education at all levels such as Certificate, Diploma, Graduation and Post Graduation. All the programs are designed by Experts of the related fields and are approved by the Academic Council in Arts, Commerce, Science, Management, Engineering, Technical, Medical and Para – Medical with English as Medium of Instructions. It has a valuable Library containing Books, Journals, and Magazine on all selected subjects and study material in respect of the said courses.
