Who is Henry the Navigator? • Henry was born in 1394. Henry was the son of King Joao in Portugal, Spain. He was famous for voyages and discoveries that he financed. He was also the Governor of the Order of Christ in 1420. He died in the year of 1460. his goal was to find a route to the rich spice trade of the Indies and to explore the west coast of Africa.
