Newfoundland will books volume 2 pages 59-60 probate year 1851 Will of Henry Taylor In re Henry Taylor deceased. In the name of God Amen, I Henry Taylor of Port de Grave in the Island of Newfoundland Planter, being of sound mind and memory do make and declare this to be my last will and testament. Imprimis, I commit my soul unto the hands of Almighty God in the hope of a joyful resurrection through Jesus Christ my Saviour. Item, I order that all my just debts funeral expenses and charges of proving this my will be in the first place fully paid. Item, I give and bequeath to my son John a third part of my stage, flake, gardens and property at Port de Grave and also one third part of my property situate at St. John’s, the same being at present leased at four pounds per annum, Item I give and bequeath to my son Henry a third part of my stage flake gardens & property at Port de Grave, and also one third part of my property situate at St. John’s before described. Item, I give and bequeath to my son Jacob a third part of my flake, stage, gardens and property at port de Grave, also one third part of my property at Saint John’s before described. Item, I hereby constitute and appoint Mr. Frederick Kelligrew sole executor of this my will hereby revoking all former wills made by me at any former time and declare this only to be my will and testament. In witness whereof I the said Henry Taylor have set my hand and seal hereunto this twenty fourth day of April in the year one thousand eight hundred and fifty one.
