Develop skills in fashion cutting, styling, colouring, volumising hair and retailing by gaining practical experience in fully equipped hairdressing salons at the faculty’s Style Academy. This program is designed to fast track students to become qualified hairdressers.

Build upon knowledge and skills acquired at Certificate III level. Learn the skills required to run a functional hairdressing salon including strategies for managing hairdressing services, financial and human resource management, techniques to promote a hairdressing business, how to source new products and services and develop communication skills.

Learn a combination of hands on and theoretical studies including facial treatments, Swedish massage, body treatments, design and apply make-up, aesthetic aromatherapy for the face, manicure/pedicure, temporary epilation (waxing), lash and brow treatments, business planning, communication, selling and merchandising, skin anatomy and skin disorders, client consultation and skin analysis, anatomy and physiology and Occupational Health and Safety.

Learn how to develop a basic fitness program, apply exercise science and instruction, use and maintain exercise equipment and plan and conduct a sport and recreation session. Develop teamwork, computer and communication skills.

The Diploma of Nursing online offers students the ability to study nursing off campus. This program incorporates both theoretical and clinical learning. Students are required to attend residential schools at Gold Coast Institute of TAFE - dates for these residential schools to be confirmed.

Diploma of Fitness Program Description: Covers the planning and delivery of personal training, sporting injuries, exercise and health screening, postural screening and appraisal, nutrition/ weight management, sports psychology, recreational programs and advanced strength and conditioning. Develop leadership skills, management, business, finance and marketing knowledge, and how to work in alignment with health professionals. (Includes Certificate III and IV in Fitness).

Program Description: Discover the techniques of Swedish massage. Also covers aromatherapy, reflexology, day spa techniques, shiatsu and hot rock. This program provides training in allied units to prepare students for professional practice.

Diploma of Sport (Athlete Support) Program Description: Combines sport and massage units. Some of the massage units include techniques such as myofascial release, trigger point, lymphatic drainage, injury management and pre and post event massage. The sport units include working with elite sporting athletes, strengthening, managing sporting events, postural analysis and nutrition information. Includes 2 days of massage and 1 day of fitness.

Certificate III in Aged Care Program Description: Learn about personal care practices, dementia care, the aging process, supporting difference and diversity, workplace systems, client’s rights, client groups, workplace safety and client behaviour.
