As a part of the overall effort in positioning the IDS product range by American Standard as an exclusive high-end bathroom experience, a new display system has been developed. The purpose of this guideline to introduce the new display system and to outline its implementation to existing and future flagship-stores, showrooms and shops.

The IDS product range by American Standard is based on an innovative idea. The concept gives the customers the opportunity to express their personality through their choice of bathroom. The IDS product range features 3 design concept groups:

1. Graphic content Each display features a graphic panel introducing the products within the design group. The information is clear, highly visible but does not disturb the visibility of the product on display and comes as a complement to the catalogue. Its purpose is to give general information, arouse customer’s interest and encourage further exploration.

2. Product displays The main highlights of the displays are the IDS products. In order to emphasize the focus on the products the design of the displays is elegant and simple. These products are:

3. Colours and materials The overall feel of the IDS display desing is similar to that of the catalogue - dominated by elegant black and luxurious platinum gold. Against this common backdrop the distinctive features of each of the 3 design group ( Natural, Clear, Dynamic ) are further enhanced by their respective colours and materials.

4. Interactivity The IDS concept gives the customers the opportunity to ‘mix and match’ products for their bathroom, encouraging them to be active explorers as opposed to static buyers. In order to bring this message forward, most of the IDS displays are interactive. An easy to use revolving system allows the customers to experiment with the various ranges and select their preferred combination out of the 3 design groups.
