Karl Salting EGR 402 Dolske My Particular Contribution Group Members: Francis Aguinaldo, Roel Alto, Rowell Domondon Our group concentrated on the aspect of Business vs. Safety in the engineering industry. The ethical theory of Utilitarianism was my particular contribution to the group. My main objective was to describe John Stuart Mill’s approach to Utilitarianism. The greatest amount of happiness for the greatest amount of people was the focus of my input in the presentation. I was given a case of antenna failure and the malfunction of cruise control on cars. I had to determine Mill’s standpoint in these types of situations. Another important matter I brought up was the engineer’s point of view of the two cases that were given.
