GRAMMAR TENSES PART 1 *Present Simple A: Subject + verb + complement Note: add to the verb, if third person (he, she, it), -s or -es

Ex. Anna sings nice

N: Subject + don't/doesn't + verb (simple form) + complement

Ex. Anna doesn't sing nice.

I:

Ex. Does Anna sing nice?

Do/Does + subject + verb (simple form) + complement ?

*Past Simple A: Subject + verb in past + complement

Ex. I went to Paris.

N: Subject + didn't + verb (simple form) + complement

Ex. I didn't go to Paris.

I:

Ex. Did I go to Paris?

Did + subject + verb (simple form) + complement ?

*Present Continuous A:

Subject + verb to be (am/are/is) + verb (-ing) + complement

Ex. Drew is buying candies.

N:

Subject + am not/aren't/isn't + verb (-ing) + complement

Ex. Drew isn't buying candies.

I:

Am/Is/Are + subject + verb (-ing) + complement ?

Ex. Is Drew buying candies?

*Past Continuous A: Subject + was/were + verb (-ing) + complement

Ex. I was sleeping in the sofa.

N: Subject + wasn't/weren't + verb (-ing) + complement

Ex. I wasn't sleeping in the sofa.

I:

Ex. Was I sleeping in the sofa?

Was/Were + subject + verb (-ing) + complement ?

*Future Simple A: Subject + will + verb (simple form) + complement

Ex. Mark will sell his car.

N: Subject + will not (won't) + verb (simple form) + complement

Ex. Mark won't sell his car.

I:

Ex. Will Mark sell his car?

Will + subject + verb (simple form) + complement ?
