[email protected] Phone Number: 773 742 1249 Briefly answer the following questions and attach to this paper: 1) How did you hear about GlobeMed? I received an email about this organization through the pre-health office. 2) What drew you to GlobeMed and why do you identify with our mission? (more about GlobeMed’s mission can be found at www.globemed.org/about/) I believe that healthcare should be a right, not a privilege. Because we live in a well developed country and pretty well off, it should be our duty to go out and help those who are not as fortunate as us. GlobeMed does exactly that which is why I feel it is a great organization to be a part of. 3) What is your past involvement with the global health field (it’s completely fine if this is your first involvement in global health) and what skills do you possess that can contribute to the organization? (examples of skills might include foreign languages, graphic design, finance experience, marketing knowledge, etc.) This is my first involvement in global health. Foreign languages in which I am fluent include Urdu and Hindi.
4) What other organizations are you involved in and can you see yourself as a dedicated member of GlobeMed? I am also involved in AED and AMSA. I can see myself as I dedicated member of GlobeMed because I do have a lot of extra time I can commit to the organization and I stand for GlobeMed’s mission. 5) What do you hope to get out of your involvement with GlobeMed? I hope to learn more about how I can help those who do not have access to healthcare systems gain the knowledge and care that is vital for their survival. I also hope to spread awareness of this issue and how it is affecting people world wide. I would also like to volunteer abroad at some point.
