ALL COACHES MUST FILL OUT A RISK MANAGEMENT APPLICATION AND SUBMIT THEIR RECEIPT BEFORE THEY WILL RECEIVE THEIR ROSTER [agree to abide by the By-LawslRuleslDirectives ofNSC, LIJSL, ENYYSA, the USYSA and FIFA. I will attend all meetings or send a team representative. [agree to hold one to two practices each week, appropriate to tbe age of the players, and to be punctual in arriving for practices and games. I agree not to leave practices or games until all players have been picked up by a parent, guardian, or other authorized adult. I will refrain from teaching unsafe or un-sportsmanlike methods to the players. I will refrain from teaching and will discourage demeaning songs, cheers or chants to the players. I will refrain from seeking any advantage beyond that of superior skill, tactics and fitness. I understand that official decisions by the referees should be accepted without rancor or anger, no matter how unfair they may seem; I further understand tbat the use of behavior, verbal or physical, which is intimidating towards the referee, other coaches and spectators (including vulgar, improper, foul, demeaning, and/or abusive language) is grounds for immediate dismissal as a Coach (See NSC By-laws for Conduct and Penalties). I will teach the players respect for themselves, their opponents and the referees. I will teach the players sportsmanship and proper on-field conduct. I will provide a fun learning environment for the players and always treat players with respect. I will instruct parents in proper behavior at games, including respect for the referee, the "opposing" parents, and both sets of players; I understand that spectator control is my responsibility, and if the referee must take measures to control the game, he/she can not take them with the parents so he/she will take them with me, as coach. I will encourage safe, competitive, fair play and will reward improvement and effort, regardless of skill, and regardless of the outcome of any game. I will take steps to avoid "running up the score" hy playing shorthanded or using other means to prevent embarrassing the other team. I understand that winning is desirable, but winning at any cost defeats the purpose of the game. Losing can be a triumph when the team has given its best effort. I agree to abide by this Coaches Code of Conduct and agree to provide any per~onnel information as deemed necessary by NSC to perform background checks. I understand X
