Self-determined Legalism longs for the joy of being glorified as capable, and dedicated and strong and smart

Christ exalting faith leaps at the joy of seeing God glorified for his mercy, his capability, his strength, and his wisdom

Self-reliant effort is ultimately deficient And produces, guilt, greed, fear and frustration

faith pushes us into the current of God’s love where God's power flows most freely
