The Physics of CSI Brigette Bucholz Kyle Miletic

Overview • Creative and “real life” application of physics concepts • Integrate mechanics, waves, and sound into crime scene storyline • Address the lack of well-known or widely implemented physics classroom projects

Kyle’s Perspective • Students were extremely receptive about learning • Good experience involving science education – Study group leader (now) – Physician (in the future)

Brigette’s Perspective • Surprised by lack of physics activities/resources available • Student motivation a huge factor in the success of the project • Gave me a new appreciation for the amount of work that teachers put into creating and implementing new projects

Evaluation and Reflections…. • We enjoyed the generous budget  • We learned the value of time management and starting early on a big project. • Mr. Jones is awesome! • Nothing always goes according to plan.
